Join us for a very spooky night at the Kansas City Museum as we welcome the city's best costumed trick-or-treaters. Several thousand children are expected to haunt our Northeast streets during the Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association event.

Museum staff will be located at the Main Gate handing out tasty Halloween treats from 5-8 pm on Sat., Oct. 31. Many of the nearby homes will be transformed into eerily decorated “haunted houses,” and we’ll have costumed entertainers “creeping about.” There will also be special effects, music, and of course, lots of candy.

The Museum will be the focal point of this neighborhood-wide Halloween event. More than 15 Scarritt neighborhood family-friendly homes along Gladstone Boulevard will be open to kids 12 and under for trick-or-treating. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition, the Museum’s Fairy Princess will be on hand to greet children in anticipation of her holiday appearances in the Carriage House. Costumed princesses can enter a photo contest sponsored by the Friends of Kansas City Museum. Finalists’ photos will be posted on our web site and winners will receive prizes and an exclusive invitation to join the Museum’s Fairy Princess at a private holiday reception.
