Fairy Princess
Holiday Season 2011
The Kansas City Museum’s Fairy Princess is a long-standing holiday tradition. For decades, the Museum’s Fairy Princess has greeted children with holiday cheer, sharing the magic of the season. The Fairy Princess first appeared in Kansas City in 1935 at Kline’s Department Store downtown, and became one of Kansas City’s favorite holiday traditions. The Kansas City Museum revived the tradition more than 20 years ago at Corinthian Hall. Over the years, many lovely young women of Kansas City have participated in the Fairy Princess court. This photo gallery documents some of the Museum’s collection of Fairy Princess photographs, some submitted by the princesses themselves. View some of the Fairy Princesses.

Annual Picnic
July 2008
Friends and guests gathered on the lawn of the Museum for some good, old-fashioned fun. Some dressed in fashions of the early 1900s (mirroring the Long family), while others enjoyed good food and good company on the estate. See who you know in the 2008 picnic gallery.
